XML Tutorial Tree
Bamboo Suite Tree control/component can be used in web applications or as part of an applet add-onn to enhance a web page.
Bambookit Tree is used for hierarchical display of data and permits you to create effective user interfaces while easing development and
maintenance time. Add the Tree to your web pages for improved navigation and information access. On Bambookit web site the
Tree is used to display contents of Bamboo Suite Tutorials. It sits in the right frame and maintains selected state as the user navigate through the contents.
You can create a simple tree or effectivelly add any Bambookit Control into the Tree leaf.
In the simple tree you simply add many items with as many children as needed. In the advanced Tree you will add to the tree
nodes such Bambookit controls as Checkboxes, Radio, Popup Calendar, Listboxes and any other control to satisfy your application need. In the next version
as we will add a Table control to the Bambookit, you would be able to create a Tree Table. The Bambookit framework is so efficient
that you can add any control to the tree by default.
You will find all usual functionality expected from the Tree. The Tree itself can be
configured for scroll bars (horisontal and vertical) to appear automatically as needed. Scroll bars can be customized in the respects for
size and the color through the use of setBackgroundThumb property. You may place a Splitter next to the Tree to Resize
or hide the Tree. You may configure the Border type for the Tree or set it to none.
The items of the tree are provided with the rich functionality that is present in the Babookit Button.
Just refer to the Button section of this Tutorial. You can add your own customized icons to the items and even multipple icons per
item if needed. Each item in the Tree can call the action like loading URL, XML file with more GUI or to invoke any of the
Bambookit properties; maintain selected state and much more...
The Simple Tree section of this Tutorial will cover creation of the Tree with the Item control added to the nodes.
The Advanced Tree section will demonstrate how to add any Bambookit Control into the leaf of the Tree.
For complete list of Tree/Item properties refer to the
Reference Guide in the Support section.
On the left, the navigation tree is provided to easily search though Bamboo Suite controls (if the tree is not displayed click on the
link below). The tree represents the contents
of the Tutorial for Bamboo Suite. The main topics appear under collapsed folder icon. Collapsed folder icon is also an
indication that there are more files available under collapsed folder. The expanded folder implies that there are no more
files under this item. Clicking on the collapsed/expanded folder icon will open/close items in the tree node. Clicking on
the tree item will open the requested topic in the main window.
Most of the topics contain live applet examples along with the property description, HTML source and XML source.
